"Andy exudes a high degree of integrity and commitment to the student. He is on time and ready to fly, he goes out of the way to be strategic in executing the training to give the best dollar value to the student while achieving the tasks mandated for your check ride."
-Gary Rock, MBA.
"Andy is determined to only turn out smart, skilled, and wise pilots into the aviation world, teaching not just to the practical test standards, but beyond."
-Alex Bourduardez
"I took two lessons from him and learned SO MUCH! I really like the way he teaches by feel and not so much by the numbers. I had really been struggling with short field landings, but not anymore. Andy is an AWESOME instructor with a true passion for flying."
Zeb Patten, PGA Pro Golfer
"I met Andy Poulton some months ago, and since then I have flown with him many times in either VFR “refresher”, new airplane check out or IFR training situations. Andy is a terrific teacher, a very knowledgeable CFII and, perhaps most importantly he has a very comfortable teaching style. I highly recommend him."

Quality flight instruction serving Addison and the Dallas-Ft.Worth Area!
My name is Andy Poulton and I'm an independent flight instructor operating out of Addison Airport (KADS), in Addison, Texas.
Finding the right place to take flying lessons is an important first step in getting your private pilots license. There are many flight schools out there that will appear to be very attractive for a number of different reasons.
However, you can go to a flight school with a good reputation but get stuck with a poor or apathetic instructor, who is more concerned with his or her next step, rather than yours. You might also have to endure irresponsible management that sees you as nothing more than a cash cow. These are just a few of the dangers that can ruin your experience, and also cost you more money that what you needed to spend on flying lessons
However, there is an alternative that might suprise you. Remember, going to a flight school is a gamble. You might get a great flight instructor...or you might not. You might get good training that will save your life one day...or you might not. You might luck out and pick a flight school with good equipment...or you might not.
You have an opportunity, right now, to take control of your training. There is an alternative to searching bindly in the dark for the best place to take flying lessons. You can pick your flight instructor first and let him take care of all the details that you might not be familiar with.
If you pick your instructor first, you can avoid many training pitfalls that plague students. After all, I'm only going to deal with responsible, fair management and safe aircraft. I fly airplanes out of Addison everyday and I'm not about to take chances with my life or yours flying shoddy equipment, or deal with people that don't take my students seriously!
Additionally, I don't have to answer to anybody except you. My customer service is not aimed at making the school a profit, it's aimed at making you the best, safest pilot in the DFW area. As a professional flight instructor my main goal is your success and your safety!
My competitive advantage:
- I only fly safe, well maintained equipment. I won't tolerate anything less!
- I have access to more aircraft and resources than any other independant instructor in Dallas!
- I'm Part 141 and Part 61 Approved!
- Fly out of a central location- Addison Airport and Dallas Executive
- I only deal with professional and responsible management
- Foreign Students! I am a TSA approved training provider.
- I have a 90% first time pass rate with the FAA
- Quick and easy scheduling
